One of the most well-known aspects of Latin American cuisine is its use of staple ingredients such as corn, beans, rice, and potatoes. These ingredients were cultivated and consumed by ancient civilizations such as the Aztecs, Mayans, and Incas and continue to be fundamental components of Latin American dishes today.
